    Dear Readers and Contributors,

Welcome to the Volume 3 Issue 1 of IJELLS. We now enter the third year of our journey; it on one hand gives us a sense of contentment yet on the other hand alerts us into the daunting task of sustaining and developing this academic enterprise. We hope we live up to the standards we aim to stabilise and achieve.

We now plan to tighten the editorial processes of selecting a submission for publishing. The focus would be on originality, and that we have decided not to compromise upon. The articles from now on will undergo a stringent set of processes to be able to feature in the upcoming issues. The contributors are motivated to write responding to their original thought processes and seek base in established theory.

We are planning to come up with two issues. One on poetry and the other on translated stories. We shall communicate with you shortly on the information. Till then, exercise your grey cells and enjoy reading this issue.

    Happy Reading!

  • Vol. 2, Issue 4 IJELLS – January 2014

    Dear Readers and Contributors,

Welcome to the Volume 2 Issue 4 of IJELLS. We have successfully completed two years of presenting an opportunity for publishing research within reach.

The exclusivity of research has always been a daunting proposition to young researchers. When we opted for the open access format, the only intention was to make research accessible. With the ever present issue of concern about being open to plagiarism, we move ahead with our basic unbiased and un-misted resolve into 2014 to make research easy to access. Though the idea of this journal was not commercial in design, we have opted for charging a fee from the contributing academicians instead of going fully commercial with advertisements.

On this second anniversary of IJELLS we celebrate whole heartedly open access research, hoping that researches understand the importance of free access research and use their good sense of judgement against plagiarising the easily available original work.

Another development we are extremely happy to share is the addition of new members on our editorial board. The contribution of editorial members with their wide expertise and experience is heartily welcome.

    Happy Reading!

    Regards,
    Editor

    Dear Readers and Contributors,

Welcome to the Volume 2 Issue 3 of IJELLS. We welcome you on board this great reading experience of assortment of candies. We have to confess, each article has mesmerised us as children are, definitely, by chocolates.

Though some articles have tried to break ground in the truly conventional areas, it is equally interesting to watch more contemporary work considered for research.

As we have promised we have started a new column called “Interesting Read” from this issue onwards to encourage and inspire creative writing in the contributors. All of us refrain from creative writing because usually we do not have a clue about where would it be published. Now that we have an exclusive space earmarked for it, go….writers, colour the paper black and blue with your opinions, thoughts and everything worth reading!

Thinking minds need to be inspired. We hope these articles inspire all those who read them.

    Regards,

  • Vol. 2, Issue 1 IJELLS – April 2013

    Dear Contributors & Readers,

We proudly present a whiff of freshness through our section of poems. Also are included a gamut of articles in all the three major areas. A myriad of perspectives, concepts and research presented through the intellectual mindsets of our contributors makes a very interesting reading.

The poem section carries, A Shop, very reminiscent of our lives and homes. The following four poems are the angst of the writer on an issue close to their heart and they were influenced by.

Literature section saw a collection of papers, few of which analysed books and stories tempting the reader to surely have a go at the books they have written about.

The Language Teaching section saw a curiously interesting mix of articles, with the conscience of an English Teacher/Trainer reawakened towards their roles in the bigger game of language acquisition.

Communication Skills section reinstates the importance of this area in our professional spheres.

We are happy to bring to you the April 2013 issue of IJELLS. Happy reading!

  • Vol. 1, Issue 2 of IJELLS – July 2012

    Greetings!

Time flies by! A journal we seemingly started a short while ago is ready to launch its second issue. We deeply appreciate our readers and contributors for the trust and support extended to this journal in its progress. (more…)

  • Vol. 1, Issue 1 of IJELLS – April 2012

    Greetings to all!

First and foremost allow us to offer congratulations to all our contributors. The response was overwhelming with wonderful original articles. We proudly present the first issue, i.e., Vol. 1, Issue 1 of International Journal of English: Literature, Language and Skills.

The fist issue is a curious and interesting mixture of the three major areas of English. The section Literature saw the tracing of life and philosophies that shaped Ginsberg and his beatitude, an address to the issue of Dalit aesthetics in their autobiographies, the patterns of myth in the works of Northrop Frye and the analysis of interpretation of Namesake in two different media was discussed. ELT has an eclectic approach to teach grammar and an overview of teaching methodology. Skills training in English had assessing students competencies, using technology of Interactive White Board for training purposes and an attempt to change the perception of trainers is presented.

You would also chance upon the spider and a perennial existential question. The end of the journey is rocking; please fasten your seat belts and gear up to meet the Rockstar.

Whew! We are giddy with excitement after this roller-coaster ride. We welcome you to experience!

We have, for some very valid intentions chosen a few for the first issue and saved the rest for the next issue. Going through the articles was a learning experience for us and there are certain requirements additionally which will be soon posted on our webpage at https://ijells.com/announcements/

Share the journal freely because good research should not be stifled with registrations and with limited accesses.

This is an attempt at taking the first steps. Please come back to us in case of clarifications and other suggestions into making ‘our’ Journal. We have applied for the ISSN and ensuing recognition. We shall inform you all of the same ASAP.

    Happy Reading!

    Editors, IJELLS
