Manuscripts must be submitted either as email attachments or through the journal’s official website. While every effort is made to support publication, the Editor reserves the right to edit or decline submissions based on quality, relevance, and adherence to guidelines.
Main Articles
Submissions must align with the three core domains of English: Literature, Language, and Communication Skills. Manuscripts are evaluated on clarity, originality, research depth, and logical organization.
Authors are required to structure their submissions as follows:
• Author Details: Complete information of all authors, along with a 30-word third-person author profile.
• Abstract: A clear and concise summary of the paper’s focus and findings.
• Keywords: Six to seven keywords representing the central themes of the paper.
• Introduction: A well-defined introduction outlining the context and framework of the study.
• Body: The core research or investigation, including methodology and analysis.
• Conclusion: A focused presentation of findings and implications.

o Research in English Literature must follow the MLA 8th edition style.
o Research in English Language Teaching and Communication Skills must follow APA style guidelines.
Short Writing
Short pieces are not required to follow a formal research structure; however, they must be original, engaging, and intellectually meaningful.
Reviews
Reviews of books, films, games, or software are welcomed, provided they align with the journal’s academic scope. Reviews should contribute to advancing and clarifying the role of English in its literary, linguistic, and communicative dimensions.
Creative Writing
Original or translated poetry and short stories may be submitted for publication.
Discussion
Scholarly discussions related to previously published articles, education policies concerning English, or relevant academic developments may be considered, subject to editorial approval.
Review Process
All manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening and AI-pattern analysis, followed by a double-blind peer review. Review comments are shared with authors for necessary revisions. Final publication is subject to editorial approval.
The review process is typically completed within one month. The journal does not issue acceptance letters or certificates of publication.

Ethics Policy
Authorship: Authorship must be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study.
Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that submissions are entirely original and that all sources are properly cited or quoted.
Corrections and Retractions: Authors are obligated to promptly inform the Editor of any significant errors discovered after publication and cooperate in correcting or retracting the work where necessary.
Fees and Charges
The International Journal of English: Literature, Language & Skills (IJELLS) (ISSN 2278-0742) operates under an open-access model to ensure free and equitable access to research. To sustain publication services and infrastructure, operational costs are recovered through a Publishing Fee, applicable only after a manuscript successfully completes the review process.
All academic promotional services are honorary, reflecting a collaborative publishing approach. Print and distribution charges are additional.
• Authors: ₹2000 for the print version.
• Subscribers: ₹2000 annually to receive hard copies of all issues.
Authors are required to pay a formatting fee where applicable. Publication is not contingent upon the author’s ability to pay, and payment of handling or formatting charges does not guarantee acceptance. Publication fees are non-refundable once the article has been published.
